Dimitar Avramov, Ph. D.

Mr. Avramov is 2 times Bulgarian national champion in Olympic Taekwondo. He was accepted as a student in the Bulgarian National Sport University in 1997, where he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor Degree in theory and coaching methods of taekwondo, and in 2003 with a Masters in High Sport Performance. Right before his graduation he started working at the university as lecturer in taekwondo, responsible for the theory and practice lessons of the students going for a Bachelor Degree. Feeling the need for self-improvement in 2004 he moved to London where he joined Fusion Taekwondo Team. For a short time he became a member of the Bulgarian national team in 2006. During 2006-2007 he competed for Nilufer Genclik Sport from Turkey. He moved back permanently to Bulgaria and started working again at the National Sport University from 2008-2011. At the time he was the president of the university’s taekwondo team and was actively competing. During that period the team won twice the Bulgarian national chamionships for seniors. In 2013 Mr. Avramov successfully defended his Ph. D. thesis in sport science. In 2014 he attended the 1st European Taekwondo Union’s Coach Seminar in Corfu, Greece.

His international coaching experience includes coaching in “Camp Northwood”, Remsen, USA,  “Professional Taekwondo” owned by the world heavyweight champion Kwang Sup Kim in New York, USA, assistant coach in a instructor course under the auspice of the Macedonian Olympic Committee in Skopje. He was also a consultant for the sport column in “Beauty”magazine.

In 2006 he founded “Taekwondo Fitness”Sport Club which has been the home of many national champions and G1 and G2 tournament medal winners. He is also the coach of the Bronze medal winner from the Europeans under 21 championships from 2014 Nikol Chorbanova. He is a member of the Bulgarian National Taekwondo Federation since 2010.


Milena Tarnichkova


Milena is a longtime competitor in artistic gymnastics. Later on she transferred successfully her skills and knowledge in sports aerobics becoming national team member and consequently coach for the national team. She graduated from the National Sport University in 1996 and has been a lecturer there since 1999. Taking up taekwondo as a hobby, her demanding nature took over and she is now a black belt. And with more than 15 years of coaching experience in technical sports she is a great asset to the club and her work is highly recognized in the preparation of the athletes from the club.
